Need to Surrender your Cat?
SCSCR takes in owner surrenders depending on available space. We cannot guarantee that an immediate space will be available for your cat, but please complete an application using the button below and we will add you to the waiting list.
We prioritize the following on our surrender wait list:
1. Special-needs cats and medical cases
2. Senior cats
3. Neonatal kittens, orphaned kittens, and pregnant cats
4. Cats within Sheridan County
If your cat does not fit in one of these categories, you are welcome to complete an application, but we encourage you to reach out to other animal welfare organizations as well.
If your cat is not spayed/neutered or is not up to date on vaccines, a fee may be charged at the time of surrender. We will discuss this fee with you once we have received your application.
If you are needing to surrender your pet due to a behavioral problem or concern, we offer free behavioral support through Petcademy.org to help resolve your issue and keep your pets in your home with you! Please text “meow” to (307) 269-5552 and a certified animal behaviorist will respond to you within 24 hours.
