On October 5th, prepare to embark on a day of feline fun, community camaraderie, and a touch of mischief at our virtual "PAWesome Lock-In” fundraiser event for Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue! This unique event will test your ability to rally support for our furry friends who need a second chance at life. Get ready to lock arms with fellow cat lovers as we come together to make a significant difference in the lives of rescue cats.

What's the Challenge?

The concept is simple: participants willingly submit themselves to be "locked up" at the SCSCR adoption center for a designated period, with the key to their release being your generous donations. To secure their freedom, these passionate cat enthusiasts must raise their bail money in the form of donations from family, friends, and supporters. The more they raise, the sooner they'll be reunited with their own whiskered pals at home.

But that's not all! We've added a twist to the mix: you can also donate to increase someone's bail. Want to see a friend, colleague, or fellow cat lover stay locked up a bit longer with our adorable rescue cats? Your contributions can extend their time in the cat-astrophic, yet heartwarming, confinement – all for a fantastic cause!

How to Get Involved

  • Donate: Contribute to the bail of your favorite participant or add a twist by increasing someone else's bail for extended cat cuddles. Donation links for each participant can be found below!

  • Spread the Purrfect News: Share the event with your fellow cat lovers, friends, and on social media to help us reach our fundraising goals.

Remember, your participation and generosity are the keys to unlocking second chances for our feline friends. Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a brighter future for cats in need. Join us on October 5th from 10:00am to 4:00pm and be a part of something truly special!

Why We Need Your Support

The PAWesome Lock-In Fundraiser is more than just a delightful day of cat-themed entertainment; it's a vital lifeline for Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue. Every dollar raised goes towards our mission of providing shelter, medical care, and loving homes for cats in need.

Bill Rohrbaugh photo

WILLIAM L. ROHRBAUGH

Bill was born in Whittier, CA, April 21, 1952 to William and Carolyn Maggiore Rohrbaugh. The family moved to Salt Lake City and then later to Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated from San Marcos High School in 1970.

His dream was to be a sports announcer. He got his chance when he was 20 at a small radio station in Apopka FL. He did announcing for Rawlins College and conducted interviews at a few MLB Spring Training games. He liked the interaction with the teams, but was homesick and discouraged by the working conditions. He decided to move back to Santa Barbara when he was 21. A family friend offered him a job at First American Title Company in Las Vegas, NV in 1976 which turned out to be his true calling. His title insurance career started there, and through hard work and a knack with people, he rose to Senior Vice President – County Manager at Ticor Title.

He retired in 2007 and he and his wife, Rita, moved to Sheridan, WY. He loved golfing with his numerous buddies, who he referred to as the “Knuckleheads”, and they in turn nicknamed him Billy P. He was invited to become a director on the Sheridan College Foundation board where he served 9 years as President. He served on the Powder Horn HOA board, the design Review Committee, and was a member of the Big Horn Lions Club.

Bill was a loving father to multiple cats adopted from Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue: Henry, Riley, Raphael, Benny, and Will. He is deeply missed by all of us.

Bill was an amazing friend and supporter and we miss his infectious laugh every day. If you would like to donate in Bill’s memory, please click the button above and choose Bill from the drop-down menu.
