Fundraise for SCSCR During WyoGives!

With your help, we can reach our goal of $50,000 and save more lives!

 

WyoGives - an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network – is a statewide 24-hour online fundraising event that is designed to bring the state together as one community to raise money and awareness for Wyoming’s nonprofits.

You can support Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue by becoming a peer-to-peer fundraiser and encouraging your friends and family to donate! To get started, visit https://sheridancatrescue.org/wyogives and click the “Fundraise” button. You can set your own fundraising goal and invite other people to join our team! You’ll be given your own personal fundraising link to share via social media or email.

Below are some example social media posts you can use on the day of WyoGives. Feel free to copy and paste them or make them your own to help us reach our goal!

Asking for money doesn’t have to be scary!

● Share your personal connection to SCSCR and why you are passionate about our mission (tip: post a picture of your cat(s) and tell your friends the story of how you got them!) People respond better to someone’s personal experience than a generic ask. Pull at their heartstrings and show them why this is a cause worth caring about.

● Use money as a motivator! If you are already planning on donating to SCSCR on WyoGives, consider setting some of that money aside to motivate your network of friends and family to take part in the fun. Offer to donate $1 for every share one of your social media posts gets - or $5 for every new donor that makes a donation! Get creative and have fun!

● Whenever SCSCR posts content on our social media pages, you can help to make that post go the extra mile by liking it or sharing it with your own friends, and making a comment on it. It’s a quick and easy way to make sure more people are seeing those messages and learning how they can support our mission. The more that people interact with a post, the more Facebook will share it with others!

● Be sure to thank your donors!

When you donate on July 10, your donation will be MATCHED by the Hughes Charitable Foundation (donations made before July 10 will not be matched)! Thank you so much for your support!
