Our History
Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue began rescuing cats in 1999, with a focus on orphaned kittens. Beginning in 2005, SCSCR shifted its priorities towards all special needs animals.
See below for population numbers from 1999 to the present.

For several years, all supplies purchased for the cats, as well as vet bills, came directly from the pockets of the volunteers.
In December of 2009, SCSCR officially became a corporation, and began gaining support from local community members in the form of donations. These donations have included checks, payments made to the veterinarian on our bill, food, treats, and blankets. You can donate to SCSCR by visiting our Donations page.
