Adoption Procedure
1. Contact us with your interest in adopting an animal.
2. Someone from the organization will interview you to determine what type of cat you are looking for (age, behavior, job, etc).
3. Come to SCSCR to meet the cats. In the event none of the cats match you and your family, we will keep your information and contact you when a new cat comes in that you may be interested in.
4. We will review your application and determine if we think you are a good match for a particular animal. We are very particular about the families our cats go to, and have set certain guidelines. We understand that your opinion may differ from ours, but appreciate your understanding.
5. If your application is approved, you will sign a contract with SCSCR promising to keep your cat current on its vaccinations and have it altered (if necessary). In addition, no cat adopted from SCSCR may be declawed. If you would like a declawed cat, we will contact you when a cat that has already had the operation comes to us.
